Tsvetana Nedyalkova, People & Culture Manager of PS Interactive Established 4 years ago, PS Interactive creates solutions for the media industry together with Seven.One Entertainment Group, one of Germany's biggest media companies. The core principles in the work of PS Interactive are quality, creativity, constant learning and accepting mistakes as a major part of progress and growth, individual approach to everyone, responsibility and freedom to act. Tsvetana Nedyalkova, People & Culture Manager, elaborates.

Which are the outstanding characteristics of PS Interactive's culture?

I would like to focus on what is behind the freedom to act and responsibility in PS Interactive. For us, providing the freedom to act is crucial for the establishment of a creative environment and an environment fit for problem solving, for inspiring people to be more engaged with the company goals. Giving them the freedom to act goes together with the trust we have in everyone who works for us.

Can you give us some examples?

The most relevant example is that we continue with the remote work as we see that our staff like this model. They would not be happy if we would impose on them a hybrid work model in which the company decides when they should be at the office and when – not. At the same time, we have provided two office locations in Sofia; everyone is free to go there as they wish.

We do not use time tracking systems. For us getting the job done is more important and anyways, trust is not based on using such systems. We also rely on everyone's personal responsibility.

What actually is behind responsibility?

Personal responsibility is our internal commitment to do the job that is expected. Additionally, this is the feeling that we delivered value by doing a good job. If we experience some problem, we would seek help and would not hide it. This is also an important part of our culture – to own our mistakes and to learn from them.

We believe that we work with mature and responsible people who want to leave a positive mark with their job. Happily, in most cases our trust and the freedom that we give are justified by people who take responsibility for their work and actions, who understand and use their freedom correctly, and achieve focus, self-organisation and balance.

What do you think about The Great Resignation we are witnessing?

The Covid pandemic forced a lot of people to reevaluate the quality of their life and their personal and professional goals. We all realised that our lives are unpredictable and everything is ephemeral. We started thinking about what is truly important and makes us happy.

The Great Resignation is the result of people's desire to feel well and valued at their workplaces, to work stress-free and to have enough time for themselves and their loved ones.

We, at PS Interactive, strive to have a personal approach to everyone and to help them in their journey to happiness.
